Main Mission

This time, we’re talking about the follow up to the 2009 successful reboot of the “Star Trek” franchise, “Star Trek Into Darkness.”

Star Trek Into Darkness

Screenplay by Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman (both of who also wrote 2009’s “Star Trek” film) and Damon Lindelof (the series creator of “Lost”, also a producer on this and the 2009 film)

Music once again by Michael Giacchino

Directed once again by J. J. Abrams

Premiered on May 16th, 2013

Warp Speed Round Table

Last time we asked…

Which companion would you take along with you on your voyages:

  1. Spot (Data’s cat)
  2. Porthos (Archer’s dog)
  3. Grudge (Book’s cat – yes, she’s a queen)
  4. I-Chaya (Spock’s sehlat)
  5. Boshar (Dr. Antaak’s targ)

Response from Gary: I’m torn between Porthos and Phlox’s osmotic eel, but I’ll go with Porthos as long as the cheese is packed.

Tom voted for B, Porthos, because he likes dogs

And Ken gave us a write-in for one of the tribbles.

This time around we ask…

In your mind, are the characters John Frederick Paxton (“Star Trek: Enterprise”) and Admiral Alexander Marcus (“Star Trek Into Darkness”) related? They were both played by actor Peter Weller and seemed to have similar “misgivings” about non-humans.

Time to refill the dilithium chamber and try to warp on out of here.
